Wow! what a day it was yesterday.

I've never seen so many brides in one day. its good to see the great institution of marriage is still going strong in Essex!

Lizzie & Danny

Just after Christmas, full of Turkey, and snow still covering the ground, but it didn't stop Danny and Lizzie getting married.

Due to Danny being part of a successful rock band (ShadowsChasingGhosts) we had a few more unusual male haircuts on the day, but it was fun.

Sorry my updates are so few and far between, I promise to try much harder this year!

Just before Christmas I travelled to the deepest darkest parts of Derbyshire for a wedding in the Snow of the Pennines.

It was cold and travel was a challenge, but we got there in the end and had a great day.

Here are a few photos from the day, Kevin and Jill were a pleasure to work with.

So I failed with lesson one : don't hurt yourself, when I fell off a table at Saturdays wedding, but I passed lesson 2, don't drop your camera, and I definitely passed lesson 3 : get great photos anyway

It was a very very wet day for Kate and Rons wedding at The Royal Chace in Enfield, but we did get some great photos and I will put some up shortly

Hi All

Sorry its taken so long to update the blog but I've been a bit busy at weddings and now the wedding fayre season has kicked off!

I have finally caught up with my editing though so I thought I'd share a few pics from my last few weddings.

The first set of photos are from Susannah and Robs wedding that took place in Goff's Oak with a reception at Theobalds Park

I also did the photography for Caroline and Martin, with the reception at Sopwell House

and because I don't want to overload everyone in a single post, here are a few photo's from Lisa and Chris' wedding at Channels Golf Course.

Creeksea Place

I had both a wedding and a Christening to do this week, and both were great.

The wedding was at Creeksea Place in Essex. A wonderful venue out near Burnham in Essex.

The weather was great if a little bright, but the venue more than made up for that, plus the groom turned up in a Ghostbusters car - which is a little different.

I'll put up some photos shortly.

Worried wedding photographers

It appears I've upset some other wedding photographers - or at least one!

I received an abusive email accusing me of destroying other photographers businesses by giving my clients the copyright on their wedding photos.

In fact it upset the poster so much he basically threatened me!

Now I'm not too bothered about that - I'm over 6 feet tall after all, but it does worry me that someone can get so upset about competition!

I'm not sure that I'd want someone like that at my wedding either!

The fact is that in my view I provide a service to my clients, I take high quality photos of their wedding and I get paid for that work.

I'm not in the business of ripping my clients off for every single print they want, nor of milking as much money as possible from them by giving the minimum I can for the maximum amount of money.

So if you are the sender of that message then I can only suggest you look to your behaviour and wonder why you are so threateed.

If you are a potential client, then let me reiterate that you get full control over your images when you book me, and you won't be ripped off left right and centre.

and if that upsets other photographers, then sorry, but I suggest you stop ripping your clients off.

Only a short wedding on Saturday, just two hours for Claire and Stuart, at Channels Golf Club in Chelmsford, and it rained on and off for most of that time.

We did manage to get outside though, and got some good shots.

The little bridesmaids were great!

And I think Claire enjoyed herself once she relaxed too.
